I found a combination of confused, angry and excited looks after just putting a single thought of flash during my discussion with our clients about their SEO initiatives.

It is almost admitted that the flash can’t be so good if you are willing to use it for SEO. There are thousands of website who has employed
flash content and failed to get the proper results. But, I really want to make a big shout here as I am not at all agree with such assumption.

Today, I will try to introduce you with the prowess of flash and SEO. We have a panoramic background for flash development as we have developed number of flash applications and movies. It is been engrossing to excavate intensely into
FSEO (Flash SEO) to check how it has bloomed. I have also been massively analyzing and testing how the search engines index the flash files (SWF files).

June 2008: Improved Indexing for Flash

On June 2008, there was an announcement from Adobe that its working with Yahoo and Google to
improve flash indexing. At the time, I was about to analyze and test how the search engines were indexing the flash part.

For the clarification, Google was already indexing the SWF files before this partnership, but not working with Adobe for improving and streamlining the process. My target since this announcement was to find out how the search engines index flash part, the best practices to follow when bringing out flash content, what things to look about for develop some more flash content.

So now Google is indexing flash, forget SEO and create everything with flash! But wait, take a moment. I memorize a comment of a flash professional on a blog post for flash SEO, It was like “Now this post is immaterial! Google is crawling Flash!”. My instant reaction on that was “Just hold on a moment buddy.” The things have not been consummated yet, and in fact, it was just an announcement! I was true and that was not perfected yet. The step was in the proper direction, but the factors affecting to crawl the flash were different, identically how you publicize the flash content.

Actually, all the flash part was apparently not being crawled or indexed; hence it might be hasty to think we could neglect providing the search engines with optional HTML content (the best practice for SEO). It is quite premature to think Yahoo and Google will instantaneously crawl or index all the flash on web.

At the time (July 2008), Google was already indexing the SWF files, with some limitations. As an example, the Google search engine was not crawling or indexing the SWF files publicized using some famous JavaScript-based methods. At that time, the flash files belonging to you weren’t being indexed and crawled, If you were one of the flash professionals using JavaScript to publicize the flash movies,. The work was in progress.

Flash Indexing: More Concerns

But, there are concerns which won’t stop with JavaScript publicizing methods. I was wondering what type of the content within the flash files was getting crawled and indexed? Was that only static text within flash files, dynamically loaded flash files, imported XML, FLV files, Action-Script code, text files, etc? Was Google searching and following links of flash files? Did flash files build PR (PageRank)? Did the links within flash files pass PageRank? What for no-follow? What for text that has broken during artwork of flash? Was the code being crawled or indexed?

The flash application is not so simple as we think. It is definitely tortuous (think static text, code, dynamic text, photos, object oriented code, videos, vectors, etc.) Gratuitous to say, I really had a bundle of questions.

Not Put A Back Step As The Flash Developers

There was a part of that announcement which really pinched me. Precisely, the actively loaded content should not be assorted with the parent flash movie (like XML, txt, etc.). I was interested because that was a general way for established flash developers to weigh their content. And in addition, actively loaded flash files should not be assorted with the parent flash movie.

Most flash designers and developers believe that breaking up the flash movies into adjustable pieces is crucial for keeping the scalability up and file-size down.

As per the explanation I give above, how could that announcement about crawling and indexing flash file content affect the best practices in developing flash? Should developers initialize loading content within single SWF rather than logically breaking the content apart? Should they avoid using XML data and deluge the parent flash with text? What to do about spammers? Could spammers make use of how the flash was being crawled or indexed? What should rank? Should the flash file rank or the parent web-page, or both?

These all questions were valid and that is why I admit that testing is crucial.

The Status Of Flash When Comes To Crawling And Indexing?

Deep inside my search, I was able to find that Google was crawling and indexing the flash content publicized using embed tags and object (known as “twice cooked” method). I also observed that SWFObject 2.x performing static publishing method (standards-compliant) was producing strong results. SWFObject 1.x depending on the JavaScript was neither getting indexed nor using external JavaScript to publicize the flash content. I noticed that actively loaded flash files were not getting assorted with parent flash movie (Google stated it in blog post).

As the time went on, Google started to support other forms of the JavaScript-based publicizing, I found more flash content being crawled and indexed, though it was quite tough to find why only some particular pieces of the flash content were being indexed and why others were not. In face, I saw that more JavaScript publicizing methods were getting indexed in the Google search engine, I also examined some websites that were not getting indexed for any of their flash content.

Some Commentary, Guidance and Findings

Flash Indexing: Yahoo Is Behind Google ( Where is Microsoft?)

One finding is that Yahoo seems behind Google, if it comes to
indexing flash. I cannot tell why that is the case, but comparing website to website, and flash to flash, Google always did a complete job. If you have not noticed, Microsoft has not been a part of this. That is because they were not a part of this partnership with Adobe which was announced last July. I hope that Microsoft (also other search engines) will finally work with Adobe for crawling and indexing flash content. There is simply too much flash on internet to avoid crawling and indexing it! I can tell, Microsoft is neither crawling nor indexing flash.

Text Content

I have found text content crawled and indexed from static and dynamic text fields. Using dynamic text fields, I saw some text indexed which was set using ActionScript variables. I could not find the text loaded with XML assorted with parent flash movie. Similar for dynamically loaded txt files. I have seen the text content from the components indexed. Text within the other SWF files which were loaded dynamically was not assorted with parent flash movie. They were crawled or indexed and assorted with its own flash movie. One more time, I think it will change, many of developers use such technique to get ensure that the flash movies are scalable.

External Files Loaded Into Flash

As Google mentioned in its post of June 200, I observed that Google was not annexing the parent flash movie with the dynamically loaded flash files. That considers other XML files, TXT files and SWF files. I have noticed separate XML files indexed though. Google is not indexing or crawling the FLV files, if an FLV file is not containing text in it. Now, you can enclose meta data into the FLV files, and the data can be employed programmatically into the flash, but it’s not being indexed or crawled by the search engines. The popularity of flash videos is getting increased day by day, So I must expect the search engines to bring out the better ways to crawl and index the flash videos. No need to say anything, I will definitely keep a close eye on its progress.

Here are the listing of flash publishing methods.

It is definitely an important topic for the most Search Engine Optimizers. I have observed the links followed within flash movies, including links in dynamic text fields, text fields and also in ActionScript. About nofollow, Google mentioned in their announcement (June 2008) that Google will value nofollow in the flash. Thus, you can employ it where possible. Since links are followed, people in the IT industry have amazed how it can be played. I have also expressed my anxieties about both the keyword stuffing and gaming the links.

Of course, It is not easy to implement. I think the time will tell who try and play with the flash system and how the search engines react.

Help for Figuring Keyword Density

There will be millions of people giving too much respect to the keyword density and considering it as one of the major factors of the SEO (search engine optimization). Accordingly, there are an equal number of services to provide you figure the keyword density. Somewhere you have to enter the text, while others perform it with a URL. Someone may ask you to include the Meta Tag Keywords, while others can offer you to examine multiple keywords together. A single search for “keyword density checker” can provide you a large number of options.

But what is a keyword in actual?

It depends on who you ask. The standard exposition for “keyword” is a phrase or word that people make search on, its repetition is performed as index of focus of the content. For an example, Google sticks with this definition. But, there are many other search engines on the internet. Let us go with Yahoo, it considers both the synonyms and modulated forms (adjectival, plural forms and the verb –ed and –ing endings, etc.) in keyword count. For an example, in the text given below:

If you are interested to design a website during the vacation, but do not want to hire a website designer, learn the website designing ! Website designing can be done with various website designing tools available in the market, so you just have to chose a website designing tool and you can enjoy designing with the comfort of your home. In addition to improve your skills, you can shape your own thoughts into the website.

If a keyword is design here, Google counts only two instance. But, Yahoo will count design, designing, designer, and the synonym shape.

So, when you are optimizing for the Yahoo search engine, keep that in mind, and specially take a note when selecting a keyword density checker to get assured its taking this element into consideration.

More About The Keywords

Thousands of articles written about the keyword density as if it was the breath of search engine optimization work, but this is not a case at all, within the territory of discussing about the keywords. In actual, keyword density is only an ascribe of the keywords that could comprehend into your SEO thinking. There are some others called keyword proximity and keyword prominence.

Keyword proximity relates with how close your keywords appear on a particular page. Keyword prominence relates with how apparent your keywords are.

Besides the commonsense examination, it is quite important to get aware of the reality that duplicating the keywords continuously in a row—in text or title tags —has been considered as a spamming, so continuous repetition is needed to approach attentively, even in the situations which seem wholly justified.

What’s a Good Keyword Density?

Thoughts are varying about volume of keyword density, some are suggesting it about 2% to 4%, others say 3% to 7%. Some may give high figures as 12%. In any of the cases, almost each of white hat optimizers believe that it is not a simple case of “much is better”: too much keywords may cross over into the keyword stuffing, which is must to debar as it can create a negative impression for both the search engines and the visitors.

The best possible answer to the best keyword density is unquestionably, “It depends.”

Google is about to reveal its search infrastructure with an advance infrastructure just to provide more comfort to the users. In other words, Google is not ready to bear any of wounds from its competitors. The new infrastructure of Google can be a lethal weapon to fight against its major competitors like Yahoo and Microsoft. Google Webmaster Blog has released some information on Google’s new search infrastructure and Google is not expecting the help from anybody else then us, the users just to help Google for testing and also to contribute for the development portion of the new Google search engine. Let us see, what does the new infrastructure of Google web search assuring to offer us? – ameliorate accuracy of the search results, indexing speed, more extensive plus some more dimensions which does not exist in the current Google search.

At present, Google’s new infrastructure is under the canopy of current Google search engine. So it means that if you are going to have it for a spin, it may be possible that you cannot find any differences in the search results. Although if you want to compare the results you will find a major difference in the result volume.

For an example, searching for "search engine optimization" on Google’s current search engine and Google’s new search infrastructure, the later it will produce more results. I have found that the new infrastructure of Google is providing the search results quite faster and more accurate than the present search engine of Google.

You can experience the new infrastructure of Google search engine with the following:

In the current recession period, all the companies are experiencing it quite difficult to release their coins. All the businesses are affected by the recession and the companies are trying to implement the cost cutting policies. That makes more sense to assure that the marketing investments earn higher returns rather than cost-cutting.

That is in our interest to ride the wave of optimism despite the current global financial meltdown.

SEO(“Search Engine Optimization” a process to get good ranking in search engines) provides a stand to entrepreneurs, businessmen as well as individuals to boost their business around the globe; it is the most affordable way to advance your business. We must alter our SEO bent in order to vanquish this adversity.

Searches concentrated on quality, value and price-sensitivity

In current period, it is compulsory that you must have a proper understanding of what people have in their mind when finding for your services or products (or those of your clients). So you must presume yourself as an imaginary searcher and then develop the keywords. Financial products, consumer goods, utility services and the like will see an upswing in popularity for searches pointing a higher degree of the price sensitivity. Look at the phrases which integrate these terms, as well as modifiers like “buy online”, “specials”, “sale” (related with better value in many areas) and so on. Key phrases such as “low-cost”, “discount”, “affordable” can draw quality traffic to the website in this cost-cutting period.

Accentuation on measurable results

Unlike the conventional method of marketing, which lacks tracking results, online marketing ( Email marketing and PPC etc.) provides detailed report of each click, so that you can alter your strategy and make more beneficial decisions.

Strategy for Long duration

SEO is a strategy for long duration, unlike PPC (Pay Per Click) which serves you with immediate results, so if you have began with SEO for your organization, by the time other organizations will also start putting their feet into the market you must be settled and then definitely it will provide you good returns that time.

In summary, be sure that you recognize your target audience, evolution is good but stability during crisis is much better. Just looking for greener grass instead of leaning your yard can leave your marketing plan exhausted and out of focus. It is better to have 10% of something than 90% of nothing, so be sure before expanding your area of the market to expect new prospects, you harvest the equity of the presence and authority you have built up in your primary portico.

Wholesome margin is the base line, so if you are having it, then this information is not nearly as pivotal as it’s for those who are experiencing the affection of a pining economical crisis in the industry. SEO is a legal and effective solution, but also being aware of the circumstances and tactics that effect everyone in an economy can throw light on why sometimes it is more fertile than others. The key is not to get confused and diversify your trends to spread the reward and risk for your online promotion.

I have always found Google very fantastic for its eagerness to provide users more better functionalities. As an another bullet fire to its competitors, Google have implemented the marvellous feature called ‘Wonder Wheel’. The Wonder Wheel of Google is a mini Flash application which originates with your keyword in the center, around that there will be other related search keywords. A single click on any of related search topic will lead you to another circle, where that keyword will in center surrounded with its relative terms. Though it will bind you with your previous search term. You can carry on with this for next one.

It may tremendously help those users, who really have some suspected keywords about which they are having only some little knowledge. As per my separate view, I believe that Google Wonder Wheel can provide an excellent path to the users which can direct them to their stringent destination.

With the result flash of your search, Google is also providing list of related search results on the right area of web page. They also get updated with every new search. I have got an unique experience with this Google’s new feature. You too make an attempt to drive Google’s Wonder Wheel and find how extra ordinary it is?

Want to have a look of Google Wonder Wheel? Lets do it. Put your search keyword in its place and make a search, then click on “Show options…” which is marked with a red circle. As an example, I am putting my keyword ‘search engine optimization‘.

Now click on ‘Wonder wheel’ marked on bottom left of the page.

I am getting this result with 8 related keywords. The one I searched in center.

A single click on one of the related search will draw me to another wheel as below. Here I have clicked on ‘seo company‘.

I can go further as per my requirement until I get my desire output.

All searches performed by us will be bounded with each other in the same manner as we have searched them. Hence for me, Google has shown its glory one more time by adding such a Wonderful functionality.

In my professional life, you can found me as a Web buff. Its my passion to move around in jungle of the internet. I have put my steps on thousands of Web Sites. Though there was never a moment which let me pissed-off, I salute those minds who are serving us a variety of Websites everyday. I feel really amazed whenever I visit a new Logo Design, Web Design or a new technology for Web Development. From where they are finding the new idea of Marketing? Its still a deep secret.

Web is growing with a speed of thousand steps a day. Everyday I found number of new creations, new inventions in plenty of Web Sites. Web Developers are stretching the limits of HTML 4 in each direction. It also improves changeability and reduces cost of development by following stringent rules which helps about how to control all HTML elements and also how to get recovered from errors.

I found some excellent new features introduced by HTML 5, including functions for embedding video, audio, client-side data storage, graphics, and interactive documents. HTML 5 also contains new elements like <nav>, <footer>, <header> and <figure>.

Key players like representatives of Mozilla, Apple,Microsoft and Opera and also another range of individuals and organizations have participated in the W3C endeavour with diverse expertise and interest.

Be mentioned that the specification is still a effort in progress and can take some long time to completion. It may be possible that the features we have talk about may get changed in the future. My intention here was only to give a brief introduction about recent features of HTML 5.

Lets find out what HTML 5 has grown up compare to HTML 4.

Structure

New set of elements are introduced by HTML 5, it makes structure of pages more easier. Today variety of common structures, such as columns, headers and footers are included in HTML 4 pages. It is most common to mark up them with div elements, here each of them are getting descriptive class or id.

Audio and Video

HTML 5 has introduced particular tag for Audio and Video. There are <audio> and <video>. In HTML 4 we were not supposed to do it. Lets see how it works:

Here it is for video:

<video src=”video.ogv” controls poster=”poster.jpg” width=”320″ height=”240″>
<a href=”video.ogv”>Download movie</a>
</video>

And here for audio:

<audio src=”music.oga” controls>
<a href=”music.oga”>Download song</a>
</audio>

Now its up to people how can they utilize these new functionalities, I am little satisfied with this new flavor of HTML 5 for now. There may have some modification to make us feel more comfortable, I will be waiting to see; what can they do next ?

I was waiting for the both Microsoft Bing and Google Wave, thats why I was used to have daily report about them. Today when I was going through my daily routine, I came to know that Microsoft has introduced the ‘Bing’. As a first visit, the new arrival was really exciting and adventurous. On the home page links of MSN and Windows Live are also provided. One by one I go through its different functionalities and I found some of them quite amazing. There is a setting provided, which allows me to control my search as per my convenience. Then after I felt, let me see how it will compete Google current search engine. I found an analysis conducted by comScore.

The market research firm comScore’s latest analysis says Google has succeed at US search market with leading 64.2 per cent of the searches performed compare with Microsoft’s 8.2 per cent. I can say competition was quite tough. But now Microsoft has revealed its new search engine ‘Bing’. The name ‘Bing’ was finalized by Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Ballmer. It may be an endeavour to compete the lustre of Google. I can say now it will be the diachronic war between Microsoft and Google in internet search market. Microsoft has made a loin attack by introducing their weapon ‘Bing’.

As per company announcement the Bing will initialize to get spread over coming days and will scattered globally on June 3. Steve Ballmer, the chief executive officer of Microsoft have said “Today, search engines do a decent job of helping people navigate the web and find information, but they don’t do a very good job of enabling people to use the information they find.”

Microsoft have said Bing will initially focused on travel, shopping, local business and health regarding search areas where users need more succour in taking proper decision. The Microsoft has miles to go to expand their shares in the market of internet search.

Bing may be the valuable primary step in the long term endeavour to serve fresh creations that allow users to find details faster and utilize them to achieve tasks and have intelligent decision. As google is getting used as a verb now, Microsoft wants next generation to ask for ‘Bing’. The Bing has provided me some excellent services like videos are playable on the current result page. I was not supposed to leave the page as I do normally. In Weather forecast service it provides me five days forecasts which deducts the link to another page. It means Bing is reducing the number of users leaving the site because of certain reasons. There are also some another services but not all I wanted.

Bing comes with the tag line “Bing and Decide”, so It will be better known as Decision Engine rather than Search Engine.

My experience with Bing was hunky-dory and enough lustrous. I hope you too enjoy this new innovation of Microsoft. But I am still finding something best to come which can serve me the exact results and cut-out the rest. I am still having a hope for that, lets see what Google Wave comes with.

Although we would have discussed on this time and again on various sub-categories
of this very topic, HTML validation is still found to be the most overlooked process in the whole method of website design. In fact, this should be on top of the checklist for every Web Designer. We have tried to highlight few merits and myths associated with HTML validation which might assist you in validating HTML on your website.

About the Standards set by The World Wide Web Consortium

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C, http://www.w3c.org)
was established to promote the use of web which is accessible to each and every type of individuals irrespective of culture, education, country, ability, economical conditions, language and any physical conditions. It works to develop common protocols for web which promotes its growth and ensures the interoperability.

Why Validation should be required?

HTML Validation is a process of verifying your code against formal set standards. Whether it complies with that or not?Very few web designers would agree that validation is absolutely necessary as it has become habit for any web designer to overlook those HTML validation errors. They even tend to defend in terms of SEO that Google knows about this and Google Search engine even ignores those errors. However, Validation is never a bad idea. The greatest of all benefits is that it even helps to load the page faster, instead of searching for unfinished string of table or other tag, it simply moves forward without throwing exception. One should think of saving and addition of that little extra time which make the pages to load faster. This should form the basis of habit to code with correct use of syntax while HTML coding for any web designer. Once you have got through how HTML actually works, than it would be surely a cake-walk.

Few of the common HTML/XHTML validation errors are listed here:

§ Improper Nesting of Tags

This is a one of the very common error. One should ensure to close tags in the reverse of the order you opened them. For example;

<xyz><abc>your content</abc></xyz>.

§ Missing Alt Tags

You should include alt tags for all your images with a text description so that visitors will still know what the image is about even if they turn off viewing images in their browser.

§ Improper closing of Tags

Just for example <p>your paragraph<p>.Here the end tag should be </p>The above would be validated in HTML, but not XHTML.

Incorporating HTML validation would make it easier for:

- Crawlers (web spider) of various search engines to index your web pages

- To load your webpages faster

- Ensure to make your webpages compatible to be accessed through other devicesthat surf the Web.

- To check through validator about your coding errors.

Ensuring Validation with reference to your Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

In case of any errors in CSS, the layout
of web pages will be affected which would not allow the website to be viewed
correctly in any of the main browsers.

Ensuring Validation with reference to your links

When web crawlers (spiders) cannot index the links on your website they would not be able to find your webpage which might be rich in your targeted keywords. Other than this it would also frustrate your visitors while searching for corresponding information after clicking that link. This would in turn affect your search engine rankings.

The primary goal of every Web Designer should be to ensure an easy website navigation experience to accommodate slightest hiccups of common visitors which can arise due to errors arising out of improper HTML validation while the page is loaded. The obvious question which arises here is how can you call yourself a Web Designer if you produce a pretty web page without professional HTML code? Wouldn’t that make you a Graphic Designer?

Incorporating the valid HTML code ensures that you are meeting the expectations of both the users as well as your clients. It’s never late to make this a habit – Validate your HTML code starting today!

Although as we can notice the huge impact of Internet around us, it is notably true that Internet is still in its infancy stage. Advancement and refinement of the existing Internet technologies keeps on updating itself; be it on Search Engine Indexing, Online Marketing, E-Commerce development, Online Web Application Services. Then, there pops one obvious question for us, what is next buzz on the Internet front?? Google just became 10 years old recently and we feel “wow” it has changed so much on the way Internet is used.

Sure, we would get as many clues as well as “ifs and buts” about what is going to impact on the Internet platform. How is it going to be?

The sophistication of Internet is also evident as more and more users especially younger generation adapts to the concepts at a rapid pace. Digital revolution is on and on and on. However, about the Online Marketing, many would agree with me that it has became a bit of garbage collection; with banner ads, pop-ups always interfering you to grab your attention when you feel vulnerable but can’t give-up but to acknowledge the fact that it is the part of the package. There is little doubt about the future of Online Marketing as the Internet continues to grow; the growth of Online Marketing is coherently attached with it. Online Marketing is still haunted by problems of phishing, password hackers, tracking cookies, theft of identity and over and above all “SPAM”. There is uniquely accepted model about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and marketing through PPC (Pay-Per-Click) as they are going to be there as long as users are going to use Search Engines.

About the PPC (Pay-Per-Click); I personally feel that people have started losing their faith into this, as more and more people suffer due to mismanaged PPC campaigns losing the core marketing budget of any company. The percentage of fraudulent clicks has always been an issue in PPC campaign that after the loss, the sufferer says it would have been wise trading peanuts with that amount of money. The Google and Yahoo people should think about having a solution for this hue and cry of advertisers. Hence in this scenario, Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is poor man’s “King” of various methods of online marketing, although it takes time, it sure reaps dividend.

We are hearing some news about “Page Rank” of Google is going to have partner in form of “Trust Rank” which would create more insight about the reputation of particular website.

There are several prophecies creating a buzz around about the future of online marketing; I have tried to put some of these in my words which have personally made my head turn-around.

1)Power of User Generated Content

Blogs and podcast have certainly given more power to the users irrespective of their status, culture, race, gender. Such a huge is the impact of it’s web-presence that major corporate houses are forced to hire expert professional who can act as bloggers on their behalf so as to uphold the reputation of their company. Earlier it was the job of PR (Public Relations) department which used to go the extent of proliferating bad mouth about the competitors through press releases. They would call their media contacts (trusted aka purchased) to keep the coverage of the negative story buzzing around. Contrary to that scenario, the reign of publicity lies into the hands of people now, which through the power of User Generated Content displays and vent out their true, uncensored opinion about the product, brand and services. Hence, there is hardly anything left for any company to stop anything which is bad-spoken about their product, brand or service. The news which is posted gets comments (good and bad) and it spreads to their advantage or disadvantage. “People Power” in true sense achieved.

Conversations about you and your company, your brand, your products, about the services you provide are going to be discussed on the blog and webrings irrespective of your presence. You have to decide whether you have to be part of it or avoid it. Discussions will continue to happen whether you like it or not, whether you want to get involved or left out is up to you. Hence it has become extremely necessary for continuously monitoring about what is being written about you and you will have to take counter action immediately to keep that news to the flow. It has changed the whole scenario how the PR Department of the Big and Small Companies works now. The Companies have to be on high alert on what’s being told about the User’s Content through Social Communities and Blogs worldwide. Companies acknowledges to pay attention to what Blogosphere is saying about them.

2)History and Geography of Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization is playing a dominant role in the marketing fraternity. One cannot overrule the fact that SEO has powerful impact on the reputation of your Company and hence it has direct influence on your marketing strategies. With the evolvement of social media with Web 2.0; Users are slowly and steadily shifting their foot-hold on Online Social Connectivity unlike emails and search engines. We have noticed the change of ways of Internet Marketing within a very short span of time, hence it becomes extremely difficult to fathom about the form of its future. The potentials of different methods of online marketinglike email marketing, SEM (Search Engine Marketing) are changing hands to the advent of different strategies like Online Social Media Marketing. Engineers at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are busy in their research to guide their own way to the future of Internet Technologies. Ultimately it would be detecting the nerves of the Users whether this is acceptable or that.

We can foresee that Search Engines might have to give way to Visual Algorithms which would be able to detect image of the page to analyze the properties of visible text, media, graphical animation and any visible density of keywords. With more powerful OCR (Optical Character Recognition) techniques along with the processing power of AI (Artificial Intelligence), it would make much easier a task of optimizing a site for search engine capabilities to improve their SERP (Search Engine Result Page).

I think we would also be provided a search results based on the advent of technology which would be able to judge a website irrespective of any technology being used for its development. Eventually we may get rid of the need to optimize our site for Search Engines.

3)Algorithm to detect Natural flow of Language

We would have to prepare ourselves for the future Search Engine Algorithms which would also be able to judge based on bad spelling mistakes, spelling errors, any irrelevant text etc. With the embedded processing capabilities of AI (Artificial Intelligence), it would be needed to equip ourselves to fight against misspelled keyword marketing, duplicate content, spammers using garbage text etc. Hence, Search Engines would rank websites based on the development of new algorithm which would be able to detect the flow of natural language unlike the garbage of irrelevant texts. Themes and Templates copying along with Duplicate Content Filters would also be punished heavily based on the advent of these algorithms. Both Google and Yahoo are working on yet another version called “Trust Rank” which would have more relevance than “Page Rank” to judge the authenticity of website. It will index based on low bounce rate, high visitors, website’s age, history of email spamming etc. Unlike the confluence of human editors along with automated algorithms to fight spams, the future algorithms would be able to fight on their own.

4)Speed of Searching as well as User-friendliness of Search Engines

With the increase in Internet bandwidth, the search results would simultaneously display images related to our search query. The speed of Internet would make feasible for search engines to show more visible results. We can predict that we would be provided mouse-over Zoom-Up facilities for taking a quick review of the site I want to open. This is way beyond the usual SERP (Search Engine Result Pages).

We would also be provided Search-As-You-Type facilities along with Search Suggestions as we see today. Search Suggestions would also incorporate multilingual capabilities as per geographical area of user. As for example for non-english speaking users, the English equivalent search phrase would be shown beside their own language, which would ultimately good for the English Speaking countries to do business with them.

5)Impact of Search Engines on Online Shopping and Purchase as well as Personalization

You cannot deny a possibility that Search would not be required in a logical sense if you are going for some Online Purchasing or Shopping as what you would provide in the form of search query to Google, Yahoo, MSN live or any other Search Engine would automatically generate reports based on Price Comparisons of products, other relevant products options along with background research as well as Positive or Negative Comments about that product.

Search based on geographical area of purchase will also play pivotal role. We are already experiencing localized search results. This is going to affect marketers which would target the localized people trying to purchase in that particular area, moreover the purchase pattern results will change when the consumer is changing it’s geographical area. The taste and style of consumer will also being taken care of.

Wow, Are you thinking what I am thinking right now. Imagining the impact this is going to create!!!

6)Impact of Social Media Marketing

The role played by Online Social Media is increasing at such a rapid pace that I think it would slowly able to embrace the facilities of Online Application and Services into its Comfort Zone which would bring all on one platter be it Shopping, Banking, Trading, Communications, Specialized Application based on personal users’ choice and capabilities. The role played by Facebook cannot be ignored. It is equipping itself with more and more services. You may be dismayed that you would be eligible to get paid services for free. Here, the Search Engines will only serve you like API (Application Program Interface) like any other Web Service.

The role played by Social Media along with Mobile platform will create new means of communication which would be secured besides being “FREE”. Hence, other emails or Newsletter Circulation would be replaced with Online Social Medias.

Mobile-commerce would develop along with Online Social Media becoming more user-friendly as the personal power to influence purchase will also get a boost. Persons and Celebrities with greater reputation will have greater “Trust Rank” and can influence purchase. In short, they would be brand ambassadors for the Online Marketers. Your individual power to influence your society will increase your brand value and provide you endorsements from Online Marketers based on your “Power to Influence People”. People would be hired by companies based on their reputations. Hence your Social Position is affecting Social Marketing Scenario and hence it is involving even the Company for some sort of social cause although they are more interested about the influence you provide for Social Marketing.

Even Web based User Analytics is going to affect our Internet Marketing Process as it would be merged with Consumers data which would further create hybrid marketing techniques based on individual consumers’ choice and habits. For these to come into action, Data manipulating applications and manipulators would be hired to make composite online marketing proposal which would supersede other online marketing techniques.

Every method of online marketing would increase the client awareness and hence push the limits of Online Marketers to prove themselves as well as their marketing techniques based on User Preferences.

This would eventually bring a lot of changes in terms of ease of navigation on website’s, as companies would realized what their customers’ expect and they would try to facilitate that.

After various permutations and combinations of these technologies and methods, or any other superseding techniques which may come here to dominate the field of Online Marketing, fingers would remain crossed about who is going to be where after say 5 to 6 years or after 10 to 12 years.
